 ADEGUA, an organisation specialising in innovation at local level Under the legal status of non-profit association of public interest, as declared by the government of Spain, ADEGUA promotes sustainable economic development through innovation within its geographical area (province of Cordoba, Spain). ADEGUA applies in its work the Community-led Local Development methodology, based on the one established by the LEADER approach of the European Union. This methodology allows ADEGUA’s governing bodies to decide directly on the use and application in the territory of the public funds it manages. ADEGUA visits the Andalusian Knowledge Agency

On May 6, ADEGUA’s manager was received by the technical coordinator of the Agency and members of its staff, from the Agrifood and the Energy sections for technology transfer. The Agency promotes the internationalisation, innovation and technology transfer in Andalusia and the participation of Andalusian SMEs and other organisations in Horizon 2020. During the meeting, possible ways for collaboration were discussed. ADEGUA will be included in a catalogue prepared by the Agency to foster transnational partnerships under Horizon 2020.

ADEGUA in “Innovagro Cordoba 2014” Seminar, 23-25 April

ADEGUA participated in this international Seminar focusing on “Innovation Networks in the Agri-food Sector” that dealt, among other topics, with the role and interaction of European policies such as Agriculture or Research in the promotion of innovation in rural areas. The European Commissioner for Agriculture, Dacian Ciolos, participated in the opening session.

ADEGUA in the Course “Funding for Rural Development in Horizon 2020”

Organised by REDR (Spanish Network for Rural Development), it took place in Madrid on 13 March 2014 with the participation of more than 18 Spanish Local Action Groups, among them ADEGUA. Its main objective was helping the Groups detect funding opportunities for their innovation projects and create more added value for the local development strategies through innovation and the application of the results of research at local level.
